Description

Socks got his nickname soon after he hit the ground. So when it came time to register him, we named him Calcetino for socks in Spanish.
This boy was a breeze to halter train, a trait we're seeing more and more in our herd. In his first show, Gold Country Gathering 2021, he performed well, earning a 1st place in Halter. Judge Wade Gease praised him for his fineness and uniformity across the color changes on his body. Unfortunately he didn't place as well in the much larger Walking Fleece class of 11. Not to worry, we expect his fleece to improve significantly over the next year or so as all US Steel's get do.

We accept cash, check, Venmo or credit card. Financing is available on all alpaca sales. We can work with your budget. We ask for 25% down, no interest if paid in full within one year of purchase. Purchaser will provide alpaca insurance on each animal until paid in full. Breeding/Show quality maidens come with a free breeding to any Menagerie Hill Ranch owned unrestricted Herdsire. Agisting (boarding) available - 30 days included with in State purchase of breeding quality alpaca. 90 days included for out of state purchases. Purchaser assumes all Vet fees. Transport available - first 100 miles included with purchase of breeding/show quality alpaca. Package deals available.
