All of the traits that we breed for come together in Defiance - impeccable fineness, uniformity, brightness, density and high curvature in a merino-style fleece. His exquisite fleece is carried on a strong frame with impressive substance of bone. This is one beautiful male!

Defiance's genetics combine the lasting fineness found in the Hemingway and Legacy lines with the low medullation for which the Elite line is particularly well known. These advanced heritable characteristics are expressed in Defiance's superior fleece that hardly changes from one year to the next. At seven years of age, Defiance's 2016 histogram was: AFD 18.7; SD 3.1; CV 16.5; %>30 0.3 and MC 69.4. Defiance is in the top 1% of EPDS for five traits: AFD, SDAFD, SF, %>30 and MC.

He has won numerous awards and championships, including the 2013 and 2014 AL A IAO Supreme Champion male.

HGA is proud to announce its new standing 8X champion herdsire Snow Diamond Cadeau. If you look at Cadeau's 2019 stats he has an SD of 2.2 WOWIE!!! 20 of 25,949 animals.

Cadeau's show record 2021: 2 show's (Nationals & GWAS) and 2 RC. He has a very uniform, fine fleece with great crimp style & staple length on a strong, correct, macho frame. Awarded for best in crimp & brightness! At the American Alpaca Showcase, Stephanie Glyptis said this in awarding Snow Diamond Cadeau the blue ribbon: "Beautiful fineness, uniformity, beautiful definition, dense, packs alot on, soft hand, beautiful overall frame." And this when awarding the color championship, "Great density in relativity to fineness. Great hand!"
