ANDACAL Cant Always Get What U Want (nickname Canter) is sired by our herdsire MMALP Micah. All the crias that Micah has sired have fleeces with outstanding organization that is an amazing advanced lock structure. Micah is a four time banner winner and he is full Peruvian. He is an outstanding grandson of the great herdsire Pucara Kahuna. Micah's sire's dam LCA Elana comes from great genetics and also has quite the show record herself winning 4 banners and placing first at The Futurity. Elana was sired by Grand Marnier, a MacGyver son, and a two time banner winner. Putting Kahuna and Elana together produced Kahuna's Casper, Micah's sire. Casper won a total of 10 banners in his show career, a Judge's Choice, and a first place at the AOBA National Fleece Show. The bottom half of Micah's pedigree is solid. His dam Synergy's Duchess is a Sierra Bonita's MacGyver's Synergy daughter and while she was never shown herself, her sire Synergy has produced a multitude of champions for Wilkins Ranch and Great Lakes Ranch. So, it's a definite that the top half of Canter's pedigree is loaded with championship and prepotent genetics. Genetics that produce crias with outstanding, lustrous fleeces.

We shouldn't give all the credit to the top of Canter's pedigree for his luster because his dam Chocolat Par Beau has great luster herself and great genetics, too. Chocolat has the great PVA genetics of her sire Black Beau on top and is out of an outstanding Kahuna daughter Pucara Mischa's Belle on the bottom. The fineness of Canter's fleece comes from his dam Chocolat. Chocolat's EPDs are outstanding for fineness and uniformity. The fact is Canter's dam Chocolat's EPDs are very good for every category. This is Chocolat's third cria and we feel the that all of them are proof that we are right in saying Chocolat is a stud production female.

We named Canter after The Rolling Stone's song "You Can't Always Get What You Want." Canter was born a couple of days before their drummer Charlie Watts died. It's a long story from there, but simply put, Canter wasn't what we wanted in regards to gender, color, or sire. Since The Stones were on our mind we joked, "You can't always get what you want!" The sire we wanted didn't have a good breeding session with Chocolat. We covered her with Micah because it was the end of breedings for 2020 and we wanted to try to make sure she was bred. Even though we really had different plans, we couldn't ask for a better boy than Canter. He has an awesome personality. He's a very friendly boy. He's beautifully colored and catches one's eye. His fleece is developing that beautiful lock structure Micah stamps on his crias. He's a big, strong boy and weighed almost 50 lbs at 2 months. He has a beautiful Suri phenotype including an exemplary Suri head style. We are looking forward to seeing how he develops.
