That is right – she is a product of black on black (black dam and black sire)…and she is following in the footsteps of her siblings…champions! Sapphire earned her first blue ribbon at the age of 7 months.

Crimp? Yep – she’s got it. Handle? Oh yea, softer than a cloud. Brightness? Put your sunglasses on, she is so bright. Density? She has so much fiber, she is already sweating and can’t wait to be shorn again! Fineness? Well…we challenge you to find a black with more fineness. Sapphire is another example of what her dam gives us every time - incredible offspring with fineness, superb fiber, perfect conformation - and a handle that stays with the alpaca as it ages. One look at this young fine-looking gentleman certainly gets your blood pumping. He has earned the nickname of “Dapper” on the farm due his presence and distinguished, well- defined classic looks. He is everything we had wished for when pairing his parents - and then some.

Blessed with an incredibly solid and strong frame, this male has exactly the fiber traits we wanted – extremely bright, soft, well defined, uniform, fleece that covers his frame from head to toes. We are excited to watch this male develop – already tipping the scales at 60# as he reaches the 5 month old mark.

His ARI reads like a well stocked “Who’s who” of ancestry. Powerhouse males and females are lining his certificate. The question is….will he remain in our herd or will he become a dominant force in another herd …
