Well her last three crias have been sired by Captain Midnight and they are stunning. A TB male who was sold at 3 weeks of age and a DF female who is just as beautiful. See Carling under her own listing.. Just recently Sallay delivered a stunning TB female who we have named Captain's Ebony. Ebony has been sold to Walnut Ridge Acres.
When I look at Sallay, it's hard to believe she's 16 years old and definitely pregnant. She looks as good as she did the day we bought her. She''s such a great producer and oh so healthy. She carries a very special cria. The cria is sired by 5C's Captain Booker who is on his way to Switzerland. At day 377 Sally delivered a beautiful TB female. This little stunner weighed in at 21.2#. I just love her shiny black fleece, her beautiful head and heavy bone. Sallay pulled this off without a hitch.
I had seriously planned to retire Sallay after this Captain Booker cria was born. When a female gets pregnant easily, delivers without assistance, has plenty of milk, is a fantastic mother, holds her weight in spite of a robust cria and the crias are stellar.....why not breed her? Sallay is currently bred to Braxton for a spring 2024 cria. She's truly a treasure.
