From the time he was born we knew he was a star. My husband came back from work and asked if there were any babies born. I told him we had a silver boy and he was up at the barn. When he came back down to the house his remarks were, "there is absolutely nothing wrong with this boy!" And that is the way it has been from day one. Royal as we call him is a beautiful clear blue medium silver boy with a stunning head, perfect bite, heavy bone substance and massive coverage from his head all the way to between his toes. When his lower leg fleece is wet it drags on the ground. Your hands practically melt when you grab his fleece. He has a soft silky clear blue fleece with an amazing hand and virtually no medullation. His density is 65 follicles per sq mm as tested by Norm Evans. His histogram is virtually unchanged from his yearling to his 2 yr sample and he is settling females! (17.3, 3.1, 18.0, 0.5) His pedigree is heavy on silver so if you are looking for a young up and coming male to breed your silver females to take a look at Royal. Oh, and by the way did I mention he has a great disposition?!!! He is the most complete package. Take a look at the pictures and we think you will agree.

News flash, Spotless has settled his first girls and they are happily spitting. We'll be ultrasounding in the near future. But we're confident they'll be confirmed pregnant. We can't wit to see what he produces!

Silver Select (AKA Spotless) is new to us. We purchased him after his showing closely behind our boy Leo at the Gold Country Gathering 2021. We're anxious to see how they both grow and develop especially considering they have very different genetic backgrounds.

In the 2022 CA Classic, Spotless was described by the judges as similar to Leo, though a bit less dense. Given his lineage, we expect that will improve. In Walking Fleece, Judge David Barbosa praised his very uniform fleece with soft hand, nice bundling and character.

We showed his fleece in two 2022 shows. In the AOA National Fleece Show Judge Amanda Vandenbosch praised his soft fleece in a very competitive class. In the CALPACA Autumn Fleece Extravaganza, Judge Beverley Brehm commented on his beautiful crimp and very fine secondaries throughout.

In the 2022 Gold Country Gathering, Spotless was awarded 1st place and Reserve Champion in Halter, with Judge Stephanie Glyptis commenting on his better fineness, uniformity and density as well as a nice conformation. In walking fleece, Judge Dianna Timmerman commented on the nice brightness and hand with good length when awarding him 2nd place.

We accept cash, check, Venmo or credit card. Financing is available on all alpaca sales. We can work with your budget. We ask for 25% down, no interest if paid in full within one year of purchase. Purchaser will provide alpaca insurance on each animal until paid in full. Breeding/Show quality maidens come with a free breeding to any Menagerie Hill Ranch owned unrestricted Herdsire. Agisting (boarding) available - 30 days included with in State purchase of breeding quality alpaca. 90 days included for out of state purchases. Purchaser assumes all Vet fees. Transport available - first 100 miles included with purchase of breeding/show quality alpaca. Package deals available.
