Unfortunately, we said good-by to 5C's Captain Midnight in April 2023. Necropsy report failed to give us any reason for his untimely death. We are fortunate to have a few of his offspring to carry on his amazing legacy.


We knew Captain Midnight was special the minute he was born. We had no idea just HOW special. Captain currently has 18 banners in both halter and fleece. One of those banners is a coveted Judges Choice Fleece. At his very first show Captain was 1st and CC as the youngest entry in his yearling class. 5C's Captain Midnight won Champion and Res. Champion banners for his 2-year old and yearling fleeces at the 2015 AOA Fleece Conference!!!! These placements and that of his little brother Cardiac Arrest earned Cinco C's Alpacas the Classic Breeder's Cup at the Conference.


Captain Midnight is one of the Best of our Best. His dam, 5C's Chocotini is one of our highly coveted females. Her fleece is still amazing at 12 years old. She and LMFI Peruvian Black Midnight have shared their best attributes in producing this amazing male. We are extremely proud to have produced this male. His fleece exhibits extreme density, well-defined crimp and an incredible hand, characteristics usually found in only the lightest fleeces. You must get your hands on this fleece to believe it.

Captain's crias have arrived and they are stunning. His crias have remarkable fleeces and at this time colors range from TB to LF and include classic grey. Several champion offspring make Captain the real deal. Call to schedule a visit to get your hands on some of them.

Captain Midnight is currently at Cinco C's Alpacas. His offspring are truly beautiful. He adds amazing brightness, crimp and density to every cria we have seen. ***** 5C's Captain Booker (TB) and 5C's Captain Cognac (MB) are 2 of Captain Midnight's amazing sons. Both of these outstanding males won Color Championships at the 2021 AOA National Fleece Show. Captain Booker has been sold to Alpakas von Spiegel in Switzerland to stand stud for them. Captain Cognac will remain at Cinco C's Alpacas and has a very busy breeding season for 2022. We are very proud of what Captain Midnight has accomplished for us.

When our friends Jerry and Karin Young sold their herd, we were fortunate enough to be able to purchase Sallay. This beautiful true black Lancaster daughter was exactly what we were looking for to add to our black herd. Sallay's black fleece is still extremely soft and dense at age13,

Well her last three crias have been sired by Captain Midnight and they are stunning. A TB male who was sold at 3 weeks of age and a DF female who is just as beautiful. See Carling under her own listing.. Just recently Sallay delivered a stunning TB female who we have named Captain's Ebony. Ebony has been sold to Walnut Ridge Acres.

When I look at Sallay, it's hard to believe she's 16 years old and definitely pregnant. She looks as good as she did the day we bought her. She''s such a great producer and oh so healthy. She carries a very special cria. The cria is sired by 5C's Captain Booker who is on his way to Switzerland. At day 377 Sally delivered a beautiful TB female. This little stunner weighed in at 21.2#. I just love her shiny black fleece, her beautiful head and heavy bone. Sallay pulled this off without a hitch.

I had seriously planned to retire Sallay after this Captain Booker cria was born. When a female gets pregnant easily, delivers without assistance, has plenty of milk, is a fantastic mother, holds her weight in spite of a robust cria and the crias are stellar.....why not breed her? Sallay is currently bred to Braxton for a spring 2024 cria. She's truly a treasure.

5C'S CIRCE
Circe is an outstanding female who descends from multiple generations of black champions!

She is a beautiful TB daughter of 18X Champion, 5C's Captain Midnight. In addition to his multiple championship banners (in both halter and fleece), Captain Midnight also received the highly coveted Judges Choice Fleece award at the PAOBA Breeder's Showcase. Her paternal grandsire is 6X black champion, LMFI Peruvian Black Midnight. Circe's champion lineage continues with her maternal grandam, 16X champion black female champion LMFI Peruvian Black Pearl and paternal grandsire, MFI Peruvian Jericho (sire of the famous Majestic Peruvian Jeremiah). Jericho's offspring have won over 420 ribbons and over 120 championships and Jeremiah is just one of them.

Circe's dam is lovely true black champion and blue-ribbon winner, Spirit Wind's Sallay. Her maternal grandsire is 588 Peruvian Lancaster, a full Peruvian 6X Champion, 14x blue-ribbon winner, who was called "the total package" by more than one judge during his show career. Lancaster's 2009 skin biopsy results from Dr Norm Evans: 20.2 micron, 62 follicles/sq mm, 10.7:1 secondary to primary ratio, and 3 of 4 gland score. Lancaster's sire, 6Peruvian Conan was imported from the Macusani herd of the Alianza.

Circe's color genotype is Eeaa. Her true black fleece is fine (17.9 AFD), uniform and very dense. As you can see from her photo, she' carries that fleece on a lovely square frame.

Circe was bred back to Sakima for a July 2026 cria.
