Although I have limited experience in breeding black and grey alpacas, the results from those bred 'by accident' have proven more than satisfactory, or so that’s what the show results indicate. Miss Alouette du DNA, one of the two black females in our herd, alongside her maternal cousin 4x Champion Miss Andean Shadow du DNA, showcases similar fleece characteristics that make her an invaluable member of our breeding program, despite her colour.

With her striking conformation and a commanding 'look at me' attitude, Alouette stands out as a truly magnificent female. She is well-grown and proud, boasting a gorgeous head style. Her fleece exhibits a beautiful character for her colour, uniformity throughout her blanket, great density, and a noticeable shine.

At her first show, Alouette earned a well-deserved first place with glowing comments from the judge: “She just knows how to win. She even has crimp on her butt!'' and ''She was a standout in here. She actually wanted to be in that showring and presented herself very well.” The judge also noted that had her fleece had not been damp at the time of showing, she would have secured the Reserve Champion title.

Miss Alouette du DNA hails from a lineage of champions, with her dam being 3x Champion, Dame Allure du DNA, and her sire 9x Champion, Tiger Lily Conopa’s Smoak. Her grandsires are ARA Chananza and Snowmass Conopa XXX. Her full-brother, Noble Awaited Heritage du DNA, is a 2x Reserve Champion male that will start breeding in 2024. Her maternal brother, Noble Aviator du DNA (sired by Magnus), is now a Judge's Choice & 4x Champion, and her maternal sister, Miss Alliance du DNA, is incredible!

Although our herd size is back to what we once maintained, the new responsibilities of running our manufacturing facility require us to downsize a bit...
We are therefore motivated to sell some animals and will consider respectable offers on selected individuals; Alouette is one of them.
