Wilkin's Black Rock was sired by GLR Bronson. Bronson is a black male that is co-owned by Wilkins Livestock Ranch and Halo Ranch Alpacas. We boarded Bronson here in the summer of 2020 for Wilkins Livestock and bred their female for them to get Black Rock. He was also born here and subsequently we acquired Black Rock via a business transaction. So, the sire Bronson was a 6 time banner winner including 2 banners at The Futurity and 1 at the AOA National Halter Show. Bronson was sired by the black herdsire Cinders, the 2 time Dark Herdsire of the Year and 1 time Reserve Dark Hersire of the Year at The Futurity. There is another Herdsire of the Year in Bronson's pedigree as his dam GLR Black Pearls was sired by the black herdsire Shavano who also won the award. Yes, Bronson's pedigree is just full of prepotent genetics because besides Cinders and Shavano you'll also find Jackpot, MacGyver, Miguel, and Rockstar in his pedigree. Looking at all that we believe Black Rock has a great chance to be a prepotent herdsire too!
