    Description

    Thanks to Norm and Sandra Johnson of Chimera Ranch for allowing us to purchase D'Artagnan.
    D'Artagnan is a gorgeous male. He is quite stocky on a nice square frame.
    His genetics are just what we were looking for. He is a CCNF Legionnaire son and his maternal grandsire is Snowmass Mr Sizlin Rose!! Snowmass Matrix appears on the top and bottom of his ARI. That's a powerhouse of genetics!

    His fleece!! Oh boy does his fleece impress. His 2022 histogram at 4 years old AFD 15.0, SD 3.7, <15 % 53, comfort factor 99.3!! WOW! An SD still under 4 at five years old. It is beautifully crimpy and fine. Yes he does have a couple of dark fawn spots. Uniform across his blanket, even in the darker spots. With this fleece we don't care if he throws patterns or solids!

    We took him to some shows at age 5 and the judges were very impressed with his retained fineness and crimp structure. Showing as a multi sadly there were no Championships awarded.

    If you breed for pattern this guy could be your chance to get those patterns with much improved fleece.

    D’Artagnan offspring are doing quite well for us in the show ring, With the passing of Legionnaire it makes D’Artagnan even more valuable as a herdsire.
