Grazing Hills Silver Strider

Huacaya, Male, Unproven | Dark Silver Grey

AOA# 36178605   D.O.B. 7/9/2022 (3 yrs)

Sire:
FDA DEACON GREY SILVER BLADE
| AOA# 31724470  | Medium Silver Grey  |
First Place Grey Juvenile Male IAO 2010

Sired by 14X Champion Mile High Deacon Grey, out of Champion black female FDA Mona Lisa, Silver Blade offers highly sought after black and grey genetics: The Reverend Mr. Black, Accoyo Caligula, Bueno, Sinopsis Nocturna, Accoyo Victor, Onyx, Accoyo Cahuide and more.

"Blade's fiber coverage is excellent, exhibiting soft handling and even grey fleece with a long silky staple. Superb substance of bone, compact proportions along with great style." -- Amanda VandenBosch

Blade's cria are exceptional, each an improvement over the dam. He is consistently producing fine fleeced cria with desireably handsome pheonotype. And color? Oh my! Grey out of brown, black out of fawn, bay black out of bay black, dark brown out of fawn, grey out of black. As different as each of his cria look from a distance, side by side they are all little clones of their sire... each one vigorous and proud.

Blade's AFD as a cria was 18 micron, and he's maintained that fineness at 19 micron in his past three shearings. His blanket is solid medium grey, almost blue in color, without spot. His offspring have no spots. We have his fleeces commercially spun each season... his gorgeous soft skeins are the first to sell out!

Do you want to add fine silky fleeces, stunning color and textbook conformation to your herd? Reserve your Silver Blade breeding today!

Multiple breeding discounts available! (Good for any of our herd sires, just ask!)

Dam:
Sweet Pines Pagani

Sweet Pines Pagani

Huacaya, Female, Proven, Bay Black
ARI# 35390954 | DOB: 6/17/2018
Phenomenal 2020 fleece! Incredible uniformity, and beautiful crimp all the way down the legs. Bagged up and ready for the shows.

Pagani is yet another spectacular daughter of multi-champion true black herdsire, Crescent Moon's Daytona. Her fleece is dense, uniform, holds a beautiful crimp, and has such a soft handle. It is, in fact, quite similar to that of her award-winning grandsire, Flare's Incan Nightfire (FIN), who produces a highly sought after fleece each year.

Pagani's feminine, ...

Description

Little Silver Strider had a rough start to his life! He earned his name because of his "stride".
He was born as a windswept cria, the first we have ever had on our farm.
We took him to WSU vet hospital for a round of X-rays and a physical exam, and our diagnosis was confirmed.

Fortunately, he seems to have nearly completely grown out of his wonky stride and his hips are straightening up just right!

He is an absolutely beautiful little silver stud and we can't wait to see how his fiber continues to mature!
