    ARI# 31764865 | DOB: 6/22/2012
We purchased “Lily” and her mom at the 2013 Priority Auction in Las Vegas. While her mom still resides at Crescent Moon, Lily has found her way onto our 2013 show string. Her fleece is unbelievably bright, with a high frequency, high amplitude crimp style that is very consistent from skin to tip and head to tail. She has an extremely long staple length and super soft handle. Combine her fleece characteristics on a sturdy, square frame and she is the total package for us.

    She is an uncommon ...

Mirakel is now a proven herdsire, and his first four crias have exceeded every expectation. All are expressed Appaloosa—two Reverse Appaloosas, one Leopard Appaloosa, and one white with pale spotting—each displaying strong frames, typey head styles, straight legs, and exceptional newborn fleece. His debut results firmly place him as a highly promising male in our rare-color and Appaloosa breeding program.

Mirakel carries elite fleece qualities, correct structure, balance, and a pleasing head...

    Description

After previously being placed on hold pending completion of a private sale, Myrtle is once again being offered from the Rare Gem foundation program due to unforeseen changes in the buyer’s circumstances.

Myrtle’s 2025 cria has arrived—and she did not disappoint. Myrtle delivered a gorgeous daughter, Rare Gem Dappled Daphne, a rare reverse Appaloosa and the very first reverse appy born here at Rare Gem Alpacas. Daphne will be retained by Rare Gem Alpacas as an important future foundation female and part of our anticipated Fall 2026 show string.

We were so thrilled with this pairing that we immediately repeated the breeding, and Myrtle is now confirmed pregnant to our leopard Appaloosa herdsire, Mirakel, for a February 2027 cria.

Myrtle is a large-framed female with a beautiful, feminine head style, excellent fleece density, and a calm, attentive disposition. More importantly, she is proving herself exactly where it matters most—in the production field. To date, she has delivered two healthy daughters, both unassisted, and has demonstrated exceptional maternal instincts from the moment each cria hit the ground.

Myrtle is one of the very first offspring sired by H2R Motown Blues (“Mo”), an impressive Velvet son known not only for his own show record, but for his elite maternal line through H2R Seraphina—one of the strongest production females produced by the H2R program. In fact, Myrtle is the only Seraphina daughter ever released from their breeding program.

Her 100% Peruvian dam anchors the respected H2R “floral line,” which includes notable females such as H2R Primrose, H2R Shasta Daisy, and H2R Iris.
Myrtle made an early impression in the show ring as well, earning 1st Place and Best Bred & Owned at the MOPACA Invitational, along with a 1st Place ribbon at the Mid America Alpaca Challenge.

For breeders looking to incorporate elite maternal genetics, proven production ability, and the exciting potential of patterned offspring into their program, Myrtle represents a unique opportunity.

Additional photos and recent video are available upon request.
