    Blackbeard won the Reserve Black Male Championships at the 2022 AOA National Show (Out of 36 black males) and the 2022 MAPACA Jubilee at almost 10 years old! Amanda Vanderbusch's comments were, "very, very impressive", "this is what happens when they are put together corrrectly - they hold up over time", and much more. Blackbeard is stamping his powerful frame on all of his offspring which is creating a powerhouse of breeding alpacas!

    Blackbeard named 2019 Futurity Herdsire of the year in Small Farm division!

    Blackbeard has a simply gorgeous head, an incredibly fine, dense fleece with amazing architecture, and talk about coverage everywhere, wow! Add all that to a male with huge bone and a strong frame and you have yourself a truly unique true black herdsire. He also has a gentle personality as he is extremely easy to handle and work with even since he has been breeding. Blackbeard is passing on these traits to his offspring in a very consistent manner when paired with any female so far.

    Description

    Freya knocks it out of the park with her strong bone and excellent confirmation. She's sporting a soft, bright fleece with a broader structure from what we can see growing back in from her cria shearing. We're still undetermined regarding her color. As a newborn, we noticed many light fibers. As her first fleece is coming in, she is roaning out with a frosted look down her neck and back. We think she will get greyer with time; hence the dark brown/dark rose grey color selections. She has a calm and inquisitive personality. She's healthy and growing well.

    She's sired by none other than FTAF's Blackbeard - an elite, true black male with 12 banners including a Futurity Championship. He won the Reserve Black Male Championships at the 2022 AOA National Show (Out of 36 black males) and the 2022 MAPACA Jubilee at almost 10 years old! This male is very impressive and has passed on his winning characteristics to many of his champion offspring.

    Freya's dam, Wolf Den Night Owl, is also a true black champion and champion producing female. She's compact and boxy with a beautiful fleece. Night Owl is one of our favorite girls on the farm.

    We've decided to make Freya available and roll the dice on Night Owl's 2024 cria. She'll be registered and sold with a fertility guarantee before leaving. Contact us today for information on adding her to your herd!

    Financing Terms

    Contact us today to discuss financing options! Contracts are typically initiated with 25% down and monthly payments divided out over 12 months; however, we are flexible and open to terms that may better suit your needs. Package and cash discounts are offered under certain conditions. Most purchases come with 60 days free board or free board until weaning. Nationwide, affordable transporters come by the farm several times a year. We can also meet at shows or along the way.
