Description

We were given the chance to bring this excellent, proven son of Jeremiah's Peruvian Jumanji into the fold here by our friends at Hilltop Alpacas and we jumped at it! If you spend more than 5 minutes talking shop with us here in 2023, we will inevitably get around to the issue of genetic diversity and the never-ending hunt for high-quality animals that are not overly related to one another.

Though not perfect by any means (and let's be totally clear here: no alpaca *is*, that's kind of the point of the chase), the simple fact that Bell Ringer is unrelated to vast swaths of the females in our breeding program, combined with his impressive fleece statistics for an animal of his age (he just turned 9 as this is written), means that he has real future utility within our program. Bell Ringer will also be available starting next year for outside stud services. Thanks to Scott and Ann Young for the opportunity to add Bell Ringer to the genetic mix here and we look forward to seeing what he can do in the years ahead!
