He is the son of 19X Champion, Sunset Hills Zagato, the 2019 Futurity Dark Huacaya Herdsire of the Year and 2019 Futurity Dark Mixed Get of Sire!! (As well as sire of the 2019 Futurity Judges Choice Huacaya Male, Alpaca Palace Zagato's Zumba!) In addition, Jay-Z's paternal grandsire is 382 Peruvian Zephyrus, a Full Peruvian, ½ Accoyo male with 10 Color Championship wins (including the 2002 AOBA National show, 2003 MAPACA, and 2003 PAOBA shows, as well as winning "Reserve Herdsire of the Year" at the 2005 All-American Futurity!) Jay-Z's dam is CNTRL Man in Black's Beyonce, a multi-champion and blue-ribbon winner herself. She is the daughter of CCNF Man In Black.

Jay-Z won best head at the 2020 Buckeye which was an amazingly large class along with his 12 black Champion banners makes him a very desirable male. He was still taking Color Champion after Color Champion at the very competitive Buckeye at 4 years of age! That is amazing. According to Amanda VanderBosch Jay-Z displays the phenotype and fleece characteristics we are all looking for and it's amazing the fineness he is retaining at 42 months of age when she awarded him Black Color Champion at the 2021 Buckeye!
