Huacaya, Herdsire (Male), Medium Fawn
ARI# 35460053 | DOB: 7/17/2018
Zephrite is an exceptional male out of multi-champion and Futurity Champion, Sunset Hill's Zagato. He has impressive upright bone structure and conformation. Very long, bright and uniform fleece. He concluded his show career with a Judges Choice, 3 championships and and 7 reserve championships. Zephrite's first crop of crias, hit the ground, Summer of 2022. They are outstanding! In "Luna's" first 5 shows in 2019 she bannered in 4 of them! Her fiber is fabulously soft, dense and highly uniform in its very high frequency crimp style. She is the offspring of two of Snowmass's top lines, Snowmass Lunar Love (dam) and Snowmass Lover's Legacy XX (Sire).

Description

Congratulations to Chamberlin Davenport at Patch of Heaven Alpacas on his purchase of Thunder!

Shepherds Creek’s Thunder is a true black Jr. Herdsire who’s looking forward to
starting his breeding career this Spring. His sire and dam are Alpaca Palace’s Zagato’s Zephrite and
Snowmass Lunar Legacy XX, both very strong genetic lines.
He began his Juvi show career in the Fall of 2023, and by the end of Spring,’24 he had earned 12 Firsts, 1 Second, 6 Color
Championships, and 2 Reserve Color Championships, all in Full Fleece Halter and Walking Fleece
competitions. At 8 months old he took 1st in a class of 10 at Nationals and followed it up by winning
the Championship at spring Buckeye over the National Black Champion.
To end his 2024 show season, Thunder just TOOK CHAMPIONSHIPS AND JUDGES CHOICE IN ALL 3 HALTER SHOWS, PLUS THE BLACK WALKING FLEECE CHAMPIONSHIP AT THE SHOWTACULAR! A feat unto itself, but for a black alpaca, this is such validation of his excellent quality.
Thunder is in the top 10% EPDs for SDAFD (uniformity of micron) and for Fleece Weight. His color genotype is Ee a1a1.
Consider a breeding to Thunder in 2025 at a discounted Introductory fee, or talk to us about owning him, or possibly ½ Interest in this promising true black future herdsire.
