Snowmass Alpacas says, "Snowmass Best Bet is an Oblivion son. We only showed him once as a yearling with middling results: He was a super long-stapling animal with a bolder style crimp and a fleece that gave the impression of being open. That's one of the hardest parts about breeding for staple growth rates while also trying to win in the ring -- that bolder style plus the external impression of openness that comes from longer staples have to occupy more volume further away from the skin. Anyway, cut to one year later, Best Bet's staple growth rate has slowed somewhat as he has aged, with the result that he looks like this. Flipping awesome. Everything you would want. Not surprisingly he will be prominent on our stud row this year."

SNOWMASS MIDNIGHT GAZE
Sadly we lost our beautiful Midnight Gaze last night. We are devastated.

Little Creek Farm says, "One of the best-fleeced animals these white alpaca breeders have ever produced and gasp she’s a roan. Nor was Midnight Gaze the only incredible cria her sire Divine Optics produced in his first year. We are so high on these genetics. We suggest you breed this National Show blue ribbon winner to Snowmass Best Bet or the blue black EEF Incognito."

Midnight Gaze has had a stellar career, earning Judge's Select at the 2024 PNAA IFA Fleece Show and 19X Championship banners (including 2025 AOA National Fleece Show & 2025 The Futurity)! Senior judge, Amanda VandenBosch, also presented Midnight Gaze with the Most Uniform designation at the 2024 PNAA IFA Fleece Show (*Awarded to the total highest score given for measured micron uniformity, visual uniformity, uniformity of length & lack of fibers greater than >30)! Snowmass Midnight Gaze and ranch-mate, Amber Autumn Okatok can frequently be seen battling over Grey/Roan champion banners and blue ribbons on our show strings!
