Dani is a beautifully built female in a wonderful shade of lavender rose grey.
Her sire, Quincy FO70, is a son of Peruvian King G175, a Peruvian import well known for his production of excellent colored offspring, and out of a daughter of the renowned Silversmith. Quincy is perhaps best known for his son McGinnis, a gorgeous rose grey stud who reliably produced champion grey offspring, such as A of O Sterling Silver and Snowbelt Lexus, futurity champion and high-selling female. Quincy's daughters have also produced champions.
Dani's dam line is similar to that of McGinnis in that her dam was out of a daughter of the great Peruvian Augusto -- and a rare tuxedo daughter at that -- while McGinnis was out of an own daughter. Dani's dam sire is Phar Online, a west coast stud (now deceased) with many champions to his credit.
Though the names in her pedigree are perhaps less familiar to the modern breeder, they are no less champion-makers than the modern superstars. Dani's quality is testament to her genetics. She is a beautifully built female, compact and solid, with ideal, square proportions and straight lines all around. Her conformation is faultless. She is deep of body and possessed of very good bone. Her breed type is lovely -- beautiful head and full coverage, even at age nine. Although years of cria have taken a bit out of her fleece, it is still evidently dense, with a great hand, and should spin up into beautiful yarn. Not bad for a nine-year-old!
Perhaps best of all of these traits is the fact that Dani is one spectacular mother. She birthed her third cria just two months after joining our farm, and he was up and running with no human assistance whatsoever. She has a terrific abundance of milk, and her cria is big, vigorous, and fast growing. He was born absolutely covered in fiber, and at six days of age, he is already displaying a well-defined crimp throughout his blanket. Big bone and a gorgeous head make him a nice one.
Dani's 2017 is on the ground -- a white-faced maroon boy who is a Snowmass Matrix grandson. He may yet grey out, but right now, his blanket is a rich maroon color.
Dani is being sold as a 2-in-1 package with her son.
