Description

My sweet Citation is truly one special alpaca...

At just two weeks old, Citation fractured her leg before joining us on our farm. She was rushed to the hospital and placed in a cast. Unfortunately, an infection developed under the cast, spreading into the bone. I faced a heartbreaking decision: euthanasia or amputation. But seeing her high-spirited nature, I knew I had to give her a chance to fight.

Today, Citation has fully adapted to life with three legs and thrives on the farm. She’s a cheeky little girl who loves to “talk”, showers everyone with kisses, and enjoy her daily scratch sessions – something (I won’t lie) I also look forward to. It’s no surprise she has become a farm favorite, capturing hearts wherever she goes.

Beyond her resilience and strength, Citation is also a stunning alpaca. I might be biased because of how special she is to me, but doesn’t she have the prettiest face? Her fleece is coming along beautifully: fine, bright, uniform, and dense.

Citation is perfect just as she is. I feel incredibly lucky to have her on the farm; she brings so much love and joy into our lives.

This spoiled girl was recently sheared for the first time, and she is looking & doing FANTASTIC! She's enjoying being our little mascot and agritourism star!
