Unfortunately, Dot was suffering from a slowly debilitating facial paralysis that we weren't not able to get ahead of even with exceptional veterinary care. We had to make the difficult decision to let her go when her quality of life was became greatly affected. We sure do wish things could have been different as we were really looking forward to her progeny pushing the spotty world forward. We'll miss you Dottie girl!

We rolled the dice with this breeding, hoping for an appaloosa. Spots for the win! We’re even more elated that she’s gone on to win a reserve championship as a juvie at her first show!

Dot’s sire, Excelsior's Patriotic Spirit, is an elite, appaloosa herdsire. He is the product of appaloosas and harlequins from both sides of his family tree. Spirit’s sire, Windspun WSA Patriotic Gentleman, is a blue ribbon winning appaloosa like his son. So much of their greatness comes for Spirit’s grandsire - the multi-champion Hobby Horse Farm Great Expectations. Spirit's dam, Excelsior's High Voltage Tazer, has an equally impressive background. She's the harlequin daughter of a very well-known appaloosa, NWA/Hearsum Paulo, and a beautiful appaloosa harlequin named Candlelight's Cookies and Cream.

Contracts are typically initiated with 25% down and monthly payments divided out over 12 months; however, we are flexible and open to terms that may better suit your needs. Package and cash discounts are offered under certain conditions. Most purchases come with 60 days free board or free board until weaning. Nationwide, affordable transporters come by the farm several times a year. We can also meet at shows or along the way.
