Don Julio II's sire is Black 6x Black Champion, Patagonia Estates Sakima, a gorgeous jet-black male with fabulous dense bundling from head to tail. Genetics for Sakima include Snowmass Andean Midnight and Patagonia's Lennox, a magical combination for success! Sakima's progenies have won numerous awards on our show string, including BOTH Male & Female 2021 AOA National Invited Champion Banners; BOTH Male & Female Black Color Championship banners at the 2020 A-OK Blast-Off Halter show; Black Color Champion & Reserve Champion banners for the 2020 A-OK Blast-Off Walking Fleece Show! Don Julio's paternal grandsire is Patagonia’s Chilkoot (Lennox son), our Bay Black compact herdsire with a long staple length, and bright fine fleece. Chilkoot was assessed by Amanda VandenBosch as an "A-" having "excellent fiber coverage with great phenotype."

He is also the grandson of Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose (Futurity Herdsire of the Year and 12x champion), known for his contributions to top black genetics in North America. An incredible 134 Championship Banners have been won by his offspring!
