Meet Alchesay — A Champion Built by Champions.

Alchesay represents the kind of genetic investment serious breeders look for.
Sired by Apache Gentlemen’s—renowned for producing striking appaloosa cria—and out of Alpaca Rainbow Ranch’s Valentine, a banner-winning, blue-ribbon female, Alchesay brings together two proven lines of excellence. This pairing didn’t just work—it produced a champion.
Today, Alchesay stands as our lead herdsire at Alpaca Rainbow Ranch, and he continues to prove his w...

Description

On June 22, 2025 we were so happy to see the arrival of a beautiful Appaloosa male cria.

Keeping with the Indian chief theme, plus being huge Cleveland baseball fans, we named him Chief Wahoo.

He is sired by 4 time Champion, Apache Gentlemen's Alchesay. He's out of a very, very dense, blue ribbon winning girl.

Chief is showing great density with lovely high frequency crimp.

Chief also has a very calm disposition. He is definitely one of the easiest to train alpacas we've had.

At Chief's first show, the 2026 Buckeye Spring Show, he took a blue in both of his classes, Halter and Walking Fleece.

Sire's genotype: Ee Aa
Dam's genotype: ee Aa
