Description

Sophi is a girl that needs a shiny spot central to a grey program. Born a black from black dam and sire, don't let her fool you. She has produced black and grey but I really thinks she wanted to be a grey.

She has several grey and white small spots across her blanket and has produced magical grey coloration before at a previous farm -- one of a beautiful evenly colored steel silver grey with tuxedo. When we saw this boy, we knew we had to have Sophi! Unfortunately for us, the full brother to him on our farm was a dark brown -- you cannot win them all in the genetics game!

We just haven't given her enough breedings, a matter of timing (ours, hers, the stud's) and but she has a bun in the oven right now. This breeding is a coveted one to our upcoming herdsire Rebellion that we are tickled took right away (his first year breeding). Rebellion has a lovely, long stapled, so shiny and lusciously handling fiber that will look beautiful in their cria of any color.

Born from blacks, TB Sophi has a a secret -- she wanted to be a grey. She has several grey and white small spots across her blanket and produced a beautiful evenly colored cMSG; when we saw him, we bought her - it was that simple!

Sophi is an upright girl of good-sized frame and spot-on conformation. As Rebellion is a proud, elegant male himself, this should be strong pairing!

We debated on whether Sophi should be in our black program or grey, as she really could perform well in either. We decided to breed her to grey before we see what she produces with our black and roan programs.
