    Italia is a solid mahogany brown female with such a beautiful soft fleece exhibiting a coppery shine. She has definitely acquired her sire's notable crimp character and staple alignment as well. Her conformation is very strong with excellent bone substance, correct bite & proportions, and a lovely head. Surely her dam's abundant milk supply has contributed to Italia's vigor, but her genetics are playing a role here too! Italia has aged well and thrown some truly beautiful offspring.

    Description

    AHarmony's Saffron exhibits an exceptional fleece year after year, making it a favorite amongst handspinners. She produced a handsome male cria out of Infinitos Desoto in the summer of 2025, AHarmony's Arches (AKA Archie). He is very sweet with such an appealing look, and his fleece is already looking to carry those same exceptional characteristics that his parents exhibit.

    Saffron's sire is Colter, a beige stud with EPDs at top 10% in several categories! This speaks for his solid genetics that consistently produce fleeces with uniformity, fineness, low micron primaries, and a nice staple length. We also appreciate Colter's crimp structure and brightness. He is a solid alpaca in every way.

    Saffron's dam is AHarmony's Italia, a light brown female with wonderful fineness and brightness. Her adult fleece showed quite well in a competitive national show, winning 3rd. Italia is a daughter of the granddam of our herd, Sweet Pines Baja, who also placed well in the shows, both halter and fleece. Baja's staple and across blanket uniformity is what set her apart. Italia's sire, Alpaca Adventures' Milano, had quite a show career and has produced wonderful offspring over the years.
