It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sammy due to a urethral blockage. We are devastated over this loss! We do not currently have ANY of his offspring in our herd and that is such a shame. We do have one female, Lyra, bred to Sammy for a 2025 cria and we hope it is a fantastic one! Sammy had come such a long way since he arrived on our farm. He was very shy, but had really come out of his shell and was one of our sweetest boys.

Description

Glory was a big cria, weighing in at 23 lbs. She was up and running quickly!

Glory is a lovely girl that will make a great foundation female for us! Her fleece has continued to develop since her first shearing and she has great lock structure and luster to her regrowth! I was so impressed, that I decided to bring her onboard at Honey Maple farms after showing her this spring for Rainbow Mountain Alpacas at the Buckeye Show in Ohio. The judge had her in close consideration for Reserve Champion in her color class, but then chose a full-fleeced animal over Glory (previously shorn.) Nonetheless, Glory has a lovely fleece, which is very consistent in micron across her body, and she has the attributes we are looking for in our herd!

Her dam, Divine is a ribbon winning female, and Glory was her first cria. Glory’s grandsires read like a who’s who of top suri males. LFA Accoyo Belmonte, HHSF Accoyo Lafitte’s Mont Blanc, PIVAL Son’s Revelation and SBS Crown Prince .

Her sire, SOFF Samuel was in the top 1% in 5 EPD categories for several years running. He had extreme lock and luster, gorgeous regrowth year after year, and a super personality as well. His personality traits are passing along to his offspring and that is just as imporant to us as the fleece traits!!

We are looking forward what Glory will produce for us, as well as continuing her sire's legacy on our farm!
