Danko is a phenomenal silver grey herdsire. He is well-known in the alpaca world for throwing champions of all colors, especially grey and black. He has excellent strong bone structure, extensive fiber coverage and passes a typey conformation on to his offspring. The fleece of his crias tends to exhibit very uniform and tight crimp throughout the blanket and have done exceptionally well in the show ring. Amazingly, he has sired at least one champion at AOBA in each year since 1999 in a range of colors from fawn, to brown, black and grey. Sire of the high-selling alpacas at the 2000 AOBA auction.

In addition to his exceptional good looks, perfect bite and charm, Darwin has a wonderful disposition that he passes on to his crias.

“Darwin” is out of one of the top producing silver grey males in the country! Patagonia’s “Danko” has sired many top national award winning progeny...too numerous to list. “Darwin” has a compact body, great structure, bone, coverage, density and a handsome correct headpiece!

“Darwin” has already proven he is a great producer! From his 2005 crop we showed two females, a true black and a light brown. The results were three first places, one second place, two color champion banners, and one reserve color champion award. Darwin himself is a multiple award winner at all the large shows against all the best blacks in the U.S. So, if you are looking for a black with proven genetics from top national bloodlines, check out “Darwin.”
