    We will be starting our Spring breeding season without Rico. It will be an emotional time. We are still committed to giving you the best.

    Today (12/8/2011) was a very sad day at North Plains Alpacas, we said goodbye to Rico. He died early this morning of congestive heart failure. We thank the Lord for such a gift, and so thankful for the offspring we have and the ones coming in 2012!

    Sephora is a lovely female with an extremely fine fleece for her age. At 4 yrs old Sephora still has a AFD 16.7, SD 3.2, CV 19.4, %>30 0.4! Her fleece also has great density for her fineness and crimp to the tips.

    Of course with a histogram like Sephora's we chose to bred her to DDF Peruvian Rico Suave and they gave us a stunning male cria (NPA Romeo Suave) in 2009! She was then re-bred back to Rico Suave and gave us another amazing male (NPA Reveille-SOLD) in 2010! We would have bred her back to Rico Suave, but he was in Ohio at the time. Sephora was bred to Mountain West Fletcher, a very nice male, and she gave birth to a beautiful female on 9/27/2011!

    We then bred her to MSA Hemingway's Bronson for a February 2013 cria! We are very interested to see how this combination turns out.

    Sephora gave birth to a light brown male on 2/28/2013! We can already tell that this boy is super fine!

    Description

    A son of Rico Suave! This boy has an extremely bright, soft, crimpy, extravagent fleece! He also has a boxy conformation.

    We have found him to be the most similar, especially in fleece to his sire DDF Peruvian Rico Suave.

    Romeo's third year fleece is still coming in very fine and bright with beautiful character and bundling. He also has great density and is full of fleece.

    He has officially started his breeding career in the summer of 2012 and his first offspring are due in June and July.
