AJ has over 85 crias on the ground, 67% are black, 32% are brown, and 1% is gray– from dams from white to black. When bred to black, 100% are black. Color is no problem for this boy.

AJ is a tried and true, Full Peruvian, non-fading black macho. His fleece is soft (2000 micron of 18, 2007 22.0 AT 8 YEARS OLD!), crimpy, and virtually free of guard hair. He is full Alianza, alpacas noted for maintaining fineness as they age.

Description

EDA PERUVIAN CECELIA

Cecelia is what the discerning breeder is looking for in black! Her sire is the well known CPERUVIAN AXTION JAXON, a non-Fading True Black who won GET OF SIRE at the Mid America Show 11-05 competing against two strong whites. This is a rare winning for a black. He is able to pass on color, fineness and tight crimp. And his micron in 2000 was only 18.4! Cecelia's dam, Clarisa, is a full Peruvian female sired by CPeruvian Black Hawk and has Timoteo and Drambuie in her ancestry. She has medium frequency crimp and an excellent density fleece.

Cecelia has been bred to Patagoni's Chilkoot, our Bay Black compact herdsire with a long staple length, and bright fine fleece, for a April 2021 cria. Chilkoot’s crias started hitting the ground in 2015 and several have been instrumental on our show string, including Estates Sakima, our true black 5x champion and blue-ribbon winner!


Offspring:

Cecelia presented us with a handsome MF male, sired by Snowmass Rock Star XX, on 10/13/2010. Snowmass Rock Star XX is our stunning true black herdsire with dynamite fleece!

Cecelia gave birth to a beautiful TB female, sired by Snowmass Andean Midnight, on 5/18/2012. Snowmass Andean Midnight is a beautiful, compact, true black “silky soft” male with an outstanding pedigree for fineness. Her 2012 daughter is the dam of our 5x Black Champion, Patagonia Estates Sakima!

Cecelia gave us a charming TB male cria, sired by Patagonia's Chief, on 8/9/2015. Patagonia’s Chief, a true black top-sire on our ranch, is not only a champion, but he is a multi-champion producer as well. He adds lots of density and staple length to his progeny, not to mention fineness, handsome typey head, and substance of bone.
