The Queen of our Herd since 2004!

Sunset Fields Camelot's PacaBelle

Huacaya, Female, Proven | Dark Brown

AOA# 1232370   D.O.B. 6/14/2004 (19 yrs) , 3/8 Peruvian, 5/8 Chilean

Sire:
Knight of Camelot
| AOA# 833858  | True Black  |
5/8 Chilean, 1/4 Peruvian - Knight of Camelot has perfect conformation, heavy bone, a perfect bite, and a wonderful, soft handle to his fine, crimpy, very lustrous, uniform black fleece. He placed 2nd in a huge class at the 2003 MAPACA Jubilee, almost claiming Reserve Champion. He has wonderful regrowth, and his coat has gotten even more dense over the last year!

Camelot's first cria was born last June- a beautiful dark maroon girl out of a maroon dam. She's perfect, and densely covered with fine, crimpy fiber; Camelot's PacaBelle was sold before she was weaned, and just won her first blue ribbon!

Camelot is producing 70% female crias so far, with fine, crimpy, very lustrous fiber, and that special presence and carriage that does so well in the showring. His wonderful temperament and exemplary breeding behavior make Knight of Camelot an outstanding stud who is passing on prizewinning black genetics to his progeny.

Dam:
Lanark's Latte
| AOA# 802816  | Medium Brown  |
1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian - Latte stands out in the field; she has that 'presence' that she passes on to her offspring, probably inherited from Pizarro. Actually maroon with a lot of gray sprinkled through her blanket, Latte had a gorgeous light rose gray cria last year. This years cria is her 4th girl, the same color as Latte, with great conformation, nice bone, and a fine, dense fleece.

Description

PacaBelle is the queen of our herd and the epitome of what we're breeding for. She exudes charisma and presence. She has inherited the tall conformation of her dam and the gorgeous fleece of her sire. She is by far the smartest of the animals, evading attempts to make her do something she doesn't want to do. She's a great PR animal and is a favorite of farm visitors. Her first cria was born in Fall 2007, a gorgeous and friendly female, brown with black points, sired by our award winning rose grey Kinross. Bred with our true black herdsire, Jasper Black, she gave us yet another female cria in 2008, a brown girl with black tips with her mother's personality. Two crias later, PacaBelle was still winning ribbons for her fiber! In 2014 she gave birth to our black champion Samson's first cria, a handsome dark brown male, PacMan. Her last cria weighed in at 20lbs, sired by our 2X champion black, Juno, was born in May 2018. PacaBelle is adopted by Njeri.
