His sire BRF Timbos Blue Ridge Mountain Boy won a total of 21 Champions, 5 Reserve Champion ribbons, and 29 1st Place Blue Ribbons during his 5 year show career. Reflections dam, French Vanilla also had a great ribbon winning career with 2 Champions and 23- 1st place ribbons to her credit.

    Description

    Blue Velvet is one of our foundation females. In 2012 she gave us the most wonderful tuxedo grey male cria, Blue Suede, sired by High Plains Elvis.

    For 2014 we bred Blue to our true black sire Kanata, they produced a lovely true black male, Bolero.

    Blue is a lovely medium silver grey with a few spots through her blanket, she is dense with medium crimp. Her fibre spins up into a beautiful lightweight yarn.

    We are anxious to see what Blue will have in 2016 from her breeding to Reflection, one of our top grey herdsires.

    Blue was only shown once and she placed 2nd out 8 in the Yearling Huacaya Female Grey class at the 2010 Alpaca Ontario Spring Show.
