We are extremely proud to offer Emelise’s Marnier for
your consideration. She is a stunning silver grey female
as validated by her outstanding show record. She has
a beautiful, typey head and a fleece that will rock your
socks. It exhibits high frequency crimp and is soft,
soft, soft with amazing brightness. But the best part
of her fleece is the unbelievable uniformity of micron
and crimp style. Judge after judge has commented
on this feature when handing her blue ribbons and
banners… a characteristic so very difficult to attain in
greys. Her primary and secondary fibers are virtually
identical in micron, creating a luscious handle and a
glowing fleece.
Her true black dam, Expresso’s Terraza, is a Futurity blue
ribbon winner, and her rose grey sire, Crescent Moon’s
Rayo’s Spitting Image, is a banner winner in his own
right. It’s no wonder she turned out so well! When we
saw Marnier as a cria, we knew this was a breeding
to repeat, and it is only because we own her younger
rose grey full sister that we can consider letting her
go. Another sibling, her true black brother, is now
standing stud at Ashcroft Alpacas in jolly ol’ England.
Her pedigree is deep with grey and black genetics, and
we are confident she will be a strong addition to any
breeding program choosing to breed for these colors.
For Marnier’s maiden breeding we have selected World
Fleece Show Champion, LMFI & TNT Peruvian Nevada.
This multi-champion Jeremiah son has it all. We have
chosen him for many reasons. First and foremost is his
jaw-dropping fleece. Wanting to build on Marnier’s uniformity and brightness, we chose Nevada because those are also his strongest assets. He has usable
blanket that goes from spine to belly and down the legs to his knees and elbows with no discernible differences. This is one reason he has scored a rarely
seen perfect 20 in fleece weight. He also passes remarkable fineness, character, staple length and intense brightness to his offspring. Having two true black
full siblings, and knowing his sire has produced grey when bred to grey, this breeding hits the mark on many levels!
Now the only thing left to do is bid to win, take her home, and wait for this show stopping cria to arrive!
