Melani has a bright very uniform, high amplitude, dense fleece on a sturdy but compact, beautifully proportioned frame. There is grace and elegance in her movement.

Her color genetics include grey from her dad, Patagonia's Quijote, who is out of the reknowned Danko and her maternal grandsire who is a medium rose grey Yupanqui son.

Melani's only been shown twice and only seen blue.

Her 2008 cria, RR Gun's Gold Panner is a stunning solid lavender rose grey with no tuxedo markings and uniform color across his blanket. For 2009 she produced RR Gun's Next of Kin, a classic silver grey, who stands on our herdsire row.
She confirmed that she carries a recessive black allele not just from having produced a siver grey in 2010, but producing an outstanding true black male male, sith RR Guns A'Blazin' as sire...and what a male he is. RR Lorenzo di Medici is carrying the finest, densest cria fiber that we have yet seen in our program!

Description

Gun's A'Blazin' offspring have hit them out of the park in carrying his genetic fiber determinants and that is especially true for density. Have a look at our website to see what type of results we have had now that his cria who are now coming of age for biopsy themselves.

You would be hard pressed to find black males who can match this type of follicle analysis...not just the very high density and S:P ratio, but the differential of only 4 microns between primaries and secondaries, and the SD's on those populations...are you kidding me?

Comments: This animal has excellent density for a black alpaca with very good uniformity between fiber populations and an excellent fiber population differential.

Oh, and mom's no slouch. Melani has been and outstanding producer and mom to RR Next of Kin...a first class tux silver grey.

Lorenzo is about to start on our stud row. We can't keep all of our boys and breeding for black is not one of our priorities. This champion is currently being offered for sale as well.
