We believe that ACCOYO AMERICA ZION may be the ONLY full accoyo CALIGULA son in the WEST! We have just been informed by ARI that Zion is Number Two in the ARI EPD program 2012 and #4 in 2013 for DENSITY-again rated in the top 5! and will be highlighted at the 2014 AOBA National Show. And All of his female offspring we own tested have EPD's for fleece weight in the top 1%!

A stunning combination of his sire CALIGULA & VENGADOR(Don Julio Barreda's coveted Sher Kahn line) ZION is half brother to deceased EL NINO. Caligula was one of the most influential males imported from Peru & has had a great impact on the alpaca industry. Caligula's offspring & in turn their offspring have produced champions in the showring with the densest of fleeces which also incorporate fineness, a combination so hard to achieve, in both white & color.
Zion's dam VENGADOR'S ACCOYO NIRVANA has consistently been a top producer for Pacific Crest Alpacas. We know that the Vengador & Caligula lines have been a winning combination & in Zion we have both the outstanding phenotype backed up by proven genetics.

ZION has an elite fleece with tiny bundles that must be felt to be fully appreciated. He is incredibly dense but does not sacrifice fineness as his AFD & CV have remained low for a breeding accoyo male. His high frequency high amplitude crimp style & long staple length is consistent over the blanket, neck, legs & rump without noticeable medullation. And his softness begs you to bury your hands deep into his fleece! He is compact with a medium well balanced build & perfect conformation with all the regal presence you would expect him to display-and the gentleness that makes him a dream to handle. Zion sports a little SECRET-a fawn spot behind the ear which Caligula offspring that easily throw color seem to have.

Description

ROSA is a very fine fawn accoyo female and full sister to our herdsire Royal Treasure. Her genetics include Royal fawn through Royal Avenger, Leon and Felix all now deceased. Sells bred to our Caligula son Accoyo America Zion who is #2 in the ARI EPD program in 2012 and #4 IN 2013 for density. Rosa had a Med FAWN full accoyo Principe Dorato son Heritage Principe's Accoyo Copper-who has an absolutely gorgeous fleece.

8/14/2013 A Stunning Zion son with exceptionally bright white dense fleece. This is the nicest full accoyo male that Zion has produced for us, his brightness and long staple length are incredible. Full accoyo males like this one have a place in every herd to increase density, brightness, and add fleece character. We have never bred Zion to any female that he has not improved on. We will include the beautiful full accoyo Rosa/Zion 2013 male cria in this sale at the buyers request

Rosa is rebred to Zion for a summer 2014 cria. We hate to let this one go but need to reduce our numbers and are keeping two of her brothers' daughters Snow Angel and Charisma in our herd. Her brother Treasure has thrown several fawns out of white dams.
