Dr. Jeri Booher on Apocalypse:
"Victor’s Hemiaccoyo Apocalypse is a true treasure, which was evident from the day that he hit the ground in 2002. He comes from a line of first place winners at the AOBA National Show. Both of his older siblings have taken home the blue ribbon from AOBA as did Apocalypse at the 2003 National Show. In 2004, his younger brother began his show career by taking first place at the 2004 AWE Regional Show with Julio Sumar giving him a score of 50 out of 50 points for his fleece. At the same show, Apocalypse took a first place in the Beige yearling male class, then a Reserve Championship in the Light Male category. This win gave him back- to-back first place awards at the same show in 2003 and 2004. In 2005, Apocalypse repeated his winning ways at two shows that he entered, with two first places in the mature light male category and a Light Championship and Reserve Light Championship. All of Apocalypse's sister and brothers (Americano, Argonaut, Aristocrat, Mele, Ambassador) have won multiple firsts and championships throughout the years.
Apocalypse was the heaviest shearing yearling male on the ranch in 2004. In a period covering an 11-month growth interval from age nine months to twenty months, his total fleece weight was ten pounds with an average micron count of 17. Upon shearing him in 2003, our shearer dubbed him "Mr Merino" for his amazing fleece. At age six, his total fleece weight was 14.2 pounds. Apocalypse‘s fleece characteristics still holds after many, many shearings.
We retired him from the show ring after 2005 as he was too valuable an asset for the future of our breeding program to continue to take him on the road. As has always been said, “The proof is in the progeny”, and his outstanding offspring have done extraordinarily well in the show ring. The first year of showing his offspring was in 2007. At Level V AWE, three of the five offspring shown won three first places, and one Reserve Championship. In 2008, also at

Description
SHOWSTOPPER IS BRED TO AMERIKAN HERO THIS YEAR! DUE JULY 23, 2021 +/-
This beautiful boy garnered a Judge's Choice award at nearly 3 years old! His 2018 EPD's were amazing as were his fleece stats. He's a fleece monster!
Hero is proudly owned by our good friends at Thodarson Farms. See his picture above and click on his Open Herd link (below) for more Hero details:

When we first laid eyes on Miss Showstopper, we were gob smacked by her fleece!
Jeri Booher, of the incomparable Timberland Alpacas, told us that she thought Showstopper's fleece was the best colored fleece that they have ever produced on a female. That was enough for us.
Showstopper has proven to be a no nonsense production female. After being open and off cycle (we don't breed every girl every year), she still catches on the first breeding. "One and done."
She's an easy, no drama, birther and an incredible mother... a true milking machine.
And, her BABIES! Oh goodness, big, healthy, you guessed it, fleece machines!
Her 2019, yearling son, produced 4# of fleece from his blanket alone, and this after being cria shorn. Her daughter, Trillium, was right in there with her brother, still producing 4# of blanket at 4 years old.
At 9 years old, although no longer fine, Showstopper is still giving us a respectable
3# of blanket fleece.
In other words, Showstopper has a dense fleece as have her kids.
She has huge substance of bone and body capacity, no conformational flaws and a great bite, that has never needed to be trimmed. Showstopper has enjoyed perfect health, never had an ill day in her life.
Showstopper has an amusing personality... a talkative, wide eyed demeanor, as though life is a constant source of surprise and wonder. The other day we saw her watching a falling leaf drift to ground. She makes us laugh. She is somewhat independent, but very easily handled once on halter.
We're offering Showstopper at a ridiculously reasonable price. In some folks' minds this signals a "hidden deficit" in the animal. Nothing could be further from the truth. At, this point in our breeding career, we are more interested in seeing our animals add quality and opportunities, especially to new breeding programs, than we are in making huge profits. If you're truly uncomfortable, we can ALWAYS raise the asking price!
This is a great opportunity to add a proven foundation female with incomparable Accoyo genetics, bred to a "show stopping" (ha! couldn't resist) herd sire.
We won't be sorry to keep her!
We are happy to provide information and answer questions.
