    My Favorite alpaca!!!!

    We spotted this young male at the AOBA conference and were immediately intrigued by what we saw. Bevo is what is referred to as "The Total Package" and five separate judges have mentioned just that. He has incredible density and coverage, and tons of character in his soft-handling fleece. His large boned yet compact frame make a second look common. Under the term "alpaca phenotype" you just might find a picture of Bevo. When we teach people about conformation, we use Bevo as the example. These characteristics are all a must for any breeding program. Bevo's calm, confident, gentle personality just add to his total appeal.

    Although Bevo has won in both bay black and dark indefinite classes; his lineage of silver gray, true black, brown, fawn and beige from Chile, Bolivia and Peru shine in this package of diversity. We have bred him to females of a broad spectrum of colors to find his true identity. His first cria have arrived and they are truly amazing. They all have his heavy bone and perfect conformation (see Photo)The fleeces are very dense, very fine, with brightness and in the majority of his crias the color of the dam. The colors range from light fawn to true black. Of the offspring on our farm, the highest AFD of fleece was 19.0. We think that's pretty remarkable.

    Bevo's famous mid-western sire Providence Rennes, is the multiple blue ribbon winning, half-brother of Dom Lucilio. And Bevo's mother is out of Desparado, a blue ribbon winner at both AOBA and MAPACA. These are fantastic and uniquely crossed bloodlines now available in Pennsylvania.

    At age 8 Bevo's fleece is still fine and exhibits beautiful structure and he continues to amaze our shearer with his density.

    Greytness is maturing beautifully. This gorgeous yearling male is definitely the REAL DEAL. Greytness' stunning phenotype is eclipsed only by his wonderful fleece. This strong male is covered from head to tail to toes with a fine, consistent DSG fleece that is remarkably dense. This male has NO visible guard hair. His calm, confident demeanor makes him a real stunner and a pleasure to show. Three different judges have awarded him the Grey Male Championship stating he was the clear winner. We are excited about this beautiful male and look forward to his first crias in 2017.

    Description

    Addy is the daughter to two beautiful alpacas. She looks very much like her father, Bevo. We really like this girl and think she has amazing potential. Check out this lovely dark rose grey fleece. Addy's fleece is very dense, fine, and loaded with character. She is like a clone of Bevo who we love.

    This female has proven to be a wonderful mother and her 2015 cria out of Cirocco is a stunner!!!! A beautiful medium brown female with density and brightness to die for.

    Addy did it again in 2016 with a gorgeous medium brown male cria sired by Captain Midnight. Wow is this guy exciting. Addy's crias all seem to be very dense with incredible shine and structure to them. Captain Carhart will definitely be on our show string in the spring if he's not on someone else's.

    For 2017 we opted to breed Addy to Greytness. He will only be with us for a short time before he's exported so we decided to see what he can produce with this wonderful female.

    Cadelaide is such a great producer we have repeated the breeding that produced her. I can't believe we didn't do it before!!!
