    Ranger is the son of CCNF Cameron, the multiple champion true black herdsire that has one of the top three black fleeces that we have ever seen in our years in the business. We rarely buy breedings to unproven males, but we were in line when he opened up. Crossed with our best black female, Black Opal, we got exactly the fleece we were looking for. There is nothing lacking; fine, bright, dense, and structured. We also got a few things we didn't entirely expect, like the white accents, but hey, if he is puting his fleece on girls, we can work with that! Of his first eight cria, seven are solid dark brown or black, and one is a beautiful patterned gray out of a gray dam.

    This beautiful true black male is definitely the total package. Another great son from Shanakee. He's got the fleece, the phenotype and the typical, solid, "Shanakee" conformation. At our most recent shearing we were so impressed by the beautiful TRUE BLACK color of this fleece. It's that shiny black that doesn't ever fade. The density and great consistency in this fleece is what we should all be striving for in our breeding programs. You owe it to yourself to check him out.

    Catalyst has matured into a beautiful male and has begun his breeding career. Unfortunately, we just can't use him as much as he deserves. This guy really deserves your consideration.
