Seabiscuit is a full Peruvian champion. His dam is grand champion Peruvian Betty Jane and his sire is the late champion Peruvian Ndume. Peruvian Ndume's daughter, High Hopes, sold for $72,000. Seabiscuit has fine, dense wool and amazing conformation. He also has rose grey in his background. His micron count is 18.0, SD is 4.2, CV is 23.3, and CF is 98.1. It is sad that the
death of Ndume makes his lines probably more valuable. He was a such a
beautiful animal!

Patina is a large, solid, healthy female, most known as the dam of our multi-
blue ribbon stud & champion, Magneto of Griffonwood. Full peruvian, dense,and
with bloodlines of Magical Farms Patience (blue at AOBA) , Primero, and Caligula on the dams side. And then Patagonia, PPeruvian Timoteo, and Annie on the sires side. Patagonia and Timoteo known for fineness.

Her breeding record is a little sketchy but not her fault! We had a multi-
champion male breeding her, Pure Peruvian who turned out to have "no swimmers". We wasted 2 years as we were told he had other crias coming.
We bred her to our multi-ribbon stud SSF Seabiscuit, who has delivered by far mostly girls - and he did just that. Piper was born on 6-20-10, a beautiful dark brown female and we rebred her to Seabiscuit as we are very happy with Piper. Just last evening we had a spinner sorting our fiber. He said as far as spinners go "Piper is a grade 2 or 1"!

Description

Piper is a strong healthy beautiful girl who is full peruvian and part accoyo. She is a nice dark brown which she received from her multi-ribbon sire SSF Seabiscuit. She has a wonderful handle and her fiber is very fine. She will be old enough to breed this spring. We didn't want to ruin her by starting her out too early. She could use more density so we plan to use a sire with plenty. We are thinking about Linden, he's packed with density! Her half brother is multiple blue ribbon winner and champion Magneto. You can check him out at Griffonwood Alpacas. We have high hopes for Piper. She placed 2nd at the Carolina show in 2011!
