    This girl has it all. A multi ribbon winner in her own right, Sugar Shoo is light fawn or beige, full Peruvian proven dam who can definitely raise your breeding program to a new level. Her heritage includes Accoyo PPPeruvian Auzengate. Sugar Shoo's dam was one of only 14 offspring in the US so this bloodline is very limited. She has flawless confirmation, plenty of presence and was still holding a fine beautiful fleece at 6 years of age was she was last tested. Sugar Shoo's 2007 (6 yr) histogram showed a 20.5 micron with an SD of 4.7 and a CV of 22.9%. This kind of fineness and consistency in a breeding female is something every breeder should appreciate.

    Given her bloodlines, show record and her fantastic fleece qualities amoung her other attributes, you really would be hard pressed to find a better female to add to your herd - particularly at this price. The negatives? Sugar Shoo does have mouth warts that aren't too pretty (confirmed by our vet). They don't seem to bother her, and they do not impact her overall health or her ability to produce offspring.

    Sugar Shoo is easy to handle, leads and loads well.

    Sugar Shoo was bred to our leopard appaloosa, Burl, because while researching appaloosa genetics we found out that there were some in Australia that were tied to Auzengate. Certainly got us thinking, why not give it a try, and it worked beautifully! Sugar Shoo delivered a stunning female appy in June 2013. Too bad Burl is on his way to Germany, I'd be doing a repeat breeding without question!

    Sugar Shoo is now retired from breeding. Her daughter, MaRS Dixie, will carry on her genetics!

    Description

    WooHoo! Happy dance when this little lady was born! Gorgeous in every way with absolutely incredible fleece.

    Dixie's sire was sold to someone in Germany so we would love to have her remain in our herd to carry on his genetics. Appaloosas are extremely rare, and her quality is amazing!

    She has incredible fleece that holds up to the highest standards of a solid colored alpaca, even white! Incredible fineness with consistency through out the entire fleece. Expressive character and bundling hold true from her knees to her head.

    Dixie was off the farm for a few years but now she's back on MaRS and we are happily in a partnership with Las Flores del Altiplano Alpacas as she continues her production years.


    Changing things up for a bit of diversity! Dixie has been bred to Golden Legacy for a late spring 2026 cria.

    Awards

    First place full fleece halter, Alpacapalooza 2014, Judge Diana Timmerman. Judge smiled when she entered the ring! Dixie was a single entry but the judge loved her stating that her fineness, consistency, and density made her well deserving of the blue. She also added that she bets her fleece will make a wonderful, fun yarn.
