Royal Gold, a multiple Champion producer, was an importer's personal herdsire selection in the last Peruvian importation in 1998. His presence and fiber qualities were so noticeable as a weanling that the importer kept Royal Gold for himself. He has sired numerous Champion and show winning offspring.
He has very uniform fleece with fine high frequency crimp and a very long staple length. Many of his high quality offspring have been featured in the national shows and auctions. We are amazed at the reproducibility of his flawless features and presence. He improves fineness and crimp. One of his latest crias is measured only 14.3 AFD and a Curve (crimp) of 56.9. Phenomenal! As a ten year old breeding male, Royal Gold's AFD is still only 22.5. His mean curvature just dropped below 50 to 47 deg/mm.(12 years old!!!) Royal Gold has contributed a great deal to our success in the show ring and sales.
