**Free Fiber Processing for Life

Tarintino of PVA is our True Black son of MacGyver's Balboa. If you have considered bringing true black to your herd, Tarintino would be an excellent addition for any farm.

Tarintino's sire MacGyver's Balboa was best in the U.S. at age 5, long after other males had stopped showing. His show record includes a long list of champion wins which have continued with his offspring. MacGyver's Balboa's EPD scores still place him in the top 10% at over 10 years of age!

Tarintino has a fleece that separates into a distinct lock structure. His skin biopsy, at age 3 years, revealed a density of 35.25 follicles SQ MM of skin with an S/P of 7.9, secondary fibers average 27.7 microns, and primary fibers average 44.3 microns for a spread of 16.6 microns.
His mean fiber diameter was 25.4 in 2013 with SD of 5.7 microns. His fibers greater than 30 microns were 15.5%.

How it Works
• Buy any alpaca from Long Hollow Suri Alpacas
• After every shearing, send the fleece to New Era Fiber
• Indicate that the animal was bought from Long Hollow Suri Alpacas – Advise us how you want the fleece processed
• We will process the fleece and send you back the product (yarn, roving, etc.)

We provide this benefit to ensure the economic viability of the animals we sell for their lifespan. This program allows our customers to earn money to care for and potentially make a profit on the alpacas we sell to you.

***A word about the health practices at Long Hollow Suri Alpacas… We take the health of our herd seriously.
• All alpacas are vaccinated annually, and bred females are vaccinated 30-60 days prior to birth of their cria.
• Fecal flotations are performed on EACH individual alpaca monthly and treatment is completed on a per alpaca basis.
• All alpacas receive monthly injections as a precaution against meningeal worm.
• Bred females receive a minimum of 2 ultrasounds performed onsite by a veterinarian and our veterinary technician.

We interact daily with all our animals to ensure any medical needs are addressed as needed and this improves their socialization.
