This stellar male has won the prestigious Judges Choice Award at the first two Halter shows it was ever offered: The Futurity and MAPACA, plus another Judges Choice in Fleece.

Mont Blanc's offspring have only shown for the past 3 years. 57 offspring have shown - earning 20 Championships, 21 Reserve Championships, and 103 1st Place finishes between Halter and Fleece. All ribbons earned totalled 209!

Mont Blanc is Full Peruvian and 7/8 Accoyo. Though he was only in 10 Halter and 1 fleece shows, he was Champion 8 times and Judge's Choice 3 times. He has been an AFCNA Spirit of the Fiber Industry Award winner and twice Futurity Reserve Light Herd Sire of the Year (2012 and 2013).

This male is a phenomenon in our industry. They say that only 10% of the males produced should be used. Mont Blanc is clearly in the top 1 percent! In fact, ARI has him listed in the top 1.0% of EPD's 2013 for AFD (Average Fiber Diameter), SF (Spn Fineness), MSL (Mean Staple Length), and FW (Fleece Weight). He is one of the phenotypically "best" males in the country today with much to offer. So much so, that he is more than one farm can handle. Mont Blanc is owned by a 3-way partnership: BBF Alpacas Inc., East Fork Alpacas, and new partners Silver Threads Alpaca Ranch.

Aliza is bred to the late, great Legend's Gold by Torbio. He passed away suddenly late last Fall. She is one of only a handful of females bred to Light Fawn Legend's Gold. We are anxiously awaiting this baby.

Black and Gray were once considered the most difficult colors to breed for and get consistent results. We believe that Aliza's incredible deep Burgundy color is one of the most rare in our herds today. It used to be called Maroon, until they removed the color from the chart. Now it is simply called Dark Brown, which is seriously not an accurate description.... It's like saying the beautiful Gold color of jewelry is Yellow!

Aliza is a proven mother of 4 offspring (2 females, 2 males). Her latest cria, BBFAI Alyeska, by Mont Blanc, is one of the few dark colored alpacas in the country that boast the fiber characteristics usually reserved for superior "whites".

Aliza is the daughter of our own past production, BBFAI Azalea. Azalea is a female that we sold to Park View Alpacas in 1998 as a yearling. If you know Suris, you know that she built their stellar Suri alpaca breeding program from the ground up with Mahogany Prince. Azalea produced 13 offspring including: Kobe, Montoya, Juan Pablo, Mahogany Princess and Aliza, to name a few. She is 17 years old, pregnant, and going strong. Aliza has the same attidue, potential, and fabulous color of her phenomenal dam!

Alyeska is a lovely, feminine female with an incredibly soft handle and glorious luster. Alyeska's pedigree is impressive - Baron, Baron Lafite, Ramilo, Bruxo, Fuego, Uribe and Mahogany Prince. With Mont Blanc on the top and PVA on the bottom we really couldn't go wrong! We've been yearning for a Mont Blanc daughter for over three years so when the opportunity arose to purchase one at The Futurity auction, we didn't hesitate!
