Description

Killington is a real eye-catcher on the farm. He has beautiful luster, even after rolling in the dirt, and a very upright presence. He is friendly and curious, generally coming up to strangers to greet them. He has very correct conformation, a pleasing head type, and impeccably straight topline.

His fleece has beautiful fineness and is uniform throughout, shearing almost 6 lbs. It is a wonderful fiber to spin with its slickness and high luster. He received 1ST PLACE at the 2014 MAPACA Jubilee Spin-off competition with comments by the judge "WOW luster, beautiful drape, can be worn next to the skin and for baby items". At 21 months, his histogram showed an AFD of 22.1, SD 5.1, and CV 22.9.

His sire is WRSR Accoyo Apocalypse, our light fawn multiple champion Accoyo Maurizio son. Apocalypse has swept the fleece shows, and won the AFCNA "Spirit of the Fiber Industry Award" for Best Suri at the 2006 AOBA National Conference, plus many other awards. He won Light Color Champion at the 2007 Denver GWAS Show in his amazing 3rd fleece, soaring ahead of white juveniles and yearlings! His fleece is amazing - check out his awards and consider him for your breeding program. Apocalypse sheared 8.7 lbs for 12 months growth in 2008! He just keeps getting better and better each year.

His dam, Angelinn, is only one of a handful of Rufino daughters. She produces outstanding crias from white to grey and is the dam of grey WRSR Peruvian Mercury Rising, our top grey herdsire by Silver King. Her other notable crias are Rufino Doble Linn owned by Linn Alpaca Suri Farm and WRSR Razor's Peruvian Infinity. Her 6x Champion cria out of Macgyver is WRSR Maxx Macgyver who is standing stud in Colorado at Silken Suri Alpacas. Her 2009 cria is a beautiful deep maroon female "Marakesh" by Jimbobway who also placed in the top 2 spots in the shows. Angelinn has the unique capability to produce the color of the herd sire to which she is bred. Whether it is black, grey, white, or fawn, she has produced the sire's color each and every time.

Killington is related to most of the suris on my farm and will get very little use here. He is being offered for sale at this very reasonable price to help move him to a new home where he can be used to pass on his special genetics. He has a great personality and is friendly, making him a great ambassador for farm visitors.
