"Jewel" is a dark bay off track Thoroughbred mare with 2 hind socks, and a snip and star on her face. She has been retrained and is ready to go into any direction!

Below is a description that Jewel's 2017 lease rider wrote:

OTTB mare for sale. JC registered Ten Carrot Jewel, aka Jewel. 15.2hh, bay with star, snip, and 2 rear socks. Very pretty head and correct legs. I have been working with Jewel over the summer and she has blossomed into a fun little partner. She's sweet and snuggly, loves to be pampered, and enjoys going on adventures. She will ride off the farm alone or in a group, neck reins, w/t/c, backs and side passes. She has a beautiful ground-covering trot, and also covers lots of ground at the walk. Rides through ditches, over obstacles, crosses train tracks, traffic safe. She is barefoot and sound, not spooky, no buck/rear/bolt/bite. She is very sensitive and will let you know if she's uncomfortable. She's a princess 😉. Prefers a loose rein, and neck reins beautifully. Seems to be most comfortable in a western saddle but will ride nice English as well. This is a mare that does best with consistent riding by a confident handler. I'm a confident beginner and get along very well with Jewel. She can jump a bit, but hasn't been schooled on jumps consistently. I believe she would excel as a trail or endurance horse. She is calm, however her energy feeds off of her rider. If you are calm and confident, so is she. I've had her on 8.5 mile rides, on gravel roads, w/t/c/g, and she finishes sound every time. I really can't say enough good things about her. She's a blast to ride and wants a job. -Shelby, Jewel's 2017 leased rider
