Opra is a beautiful yak with black shiny silky hair. She is very friendly and totally chill. This fall Opra went to her first show (2017 Rocky Mountain Yakspo) She did amazing...especially since she had not traveled off the ranch since she was 6 months old. She did not mind the spectators admiring her or her calf Everest. She was awarded First Place Yak Cow and Reserve Champion Female Yak.
She has birthed big gorgeous babies. Her 2015 calf, Luna, won 2nd place-Spring Heifer Class 2016 at the National Western Stock Show, her 2016 heifer calf, Daffodil won first place 2017 Spring Heifer, halter show and second place Yak Spring Heifer, pen show at the 2017 National Westeren Stock Show. This year (2018j her bull calf Everest, won second place fiber show under one year, second place halter show bull calf and fourth place bull calf pen show.
Opra would be be an excellent addition to a breeding stock herd.
