Ozymandias has been an outstanding sire for our ranch since the Fall of 2014. He has outstanding parasite resistance, which he passes on to his kids. He was dewormed when he arrived in 2014, but has not been dewormed since then, maintaining a Famacha of 1. We are located in east Central Texas where humidity and warm weather are fertile grounds for haemonchous contortus. Ozy kids tend to be lower birth weight (5.5 - 6# range), fast growing, and healthy. We have retained several of his daughters for our herd. Those daughters which have kidded tend to have excellent mothering characteristics and good milkers. Straws of semen are available for purchase.

      KikoBuck (male)Black
      AKGA# DOB: 12/19/20196 yrs
Sire: SEV Magnum Steel Dam: MVH 531 Percentage: New Zealand Litter Size: Triplet Birth Date: 12/19/2019 Birth Weight: 8 lbs 90 Day Weight: 53 lbs Total ADG: 0.50 Performance Index: 1.18 Black Jack is a triplet out of a repeat cross between SEV Magnum Steel x MVH 531. He had a weaning weight of 47.9 pounds at 80 days and an ADG of 0.50 pounds per day. Due to his excellent growth, parasite immunity and temperament Black Jack was retained for further evaluation as a potential herd sire. As a 6 month old Black Jack was put in the breeding pen with three experienced does and successfully bred them all. His kids have all inherited his easy going attitude and are easy to work with.

      Pedigree

SEV Mitey Mite is a 2016 percentage doe out of ROC Ozymandias. As typical of ROC Ozymandias offspring, she inherited his excellent parasite resistance and good feet. M&M has proven once again to be tough as nails! In February 2023, she broke her front right leg right above her knee. We didn't expect her leg to heal due to her age but to the surprise of everyone it actually did. She walks with a permanent limp now but she's still able to keep up with the herd.
