Here is a flashy Canadian import male from Peruvian suri genetics. Don’t let his age fool you: he is still breeding and settled females in 2020. He is relatively easy to handle for shearing and maintenance, but his drive to breed is very strong, and he spends most of his time girl watching instead of eating or socializing. If you are wanting to add some fun fiber producing genetics to your herd, or maybe add some Peruvian bloodlines that you just don’t see every day, Cuervo can definitely oblige.

‘Red’ was never handled, sheared, or touched prior to coming here, and although she's made some progress, she is still far from a 'beginner' llama. I sheared her last summer without much fuss, but walking on a halter isn't exactly something she enjoys doing. That said, her positive traits include a beautiful suri fleece that rivals some of the qualities of my suri alpacas, and her striking coloration runs deep in her pedigree.

Red's sire is a beautiful full Peruvian from the White Star breeding program in Canada, and her dam is a fun mix of tried-and-true North American lines from Aloha Llamas. With this outcross pedigree, just imagine the possibilities!

Red has been exposed to my full Argentine herdsire for a late Summer 2022 cria. She also is starting to display strong guarding instincts that may make her suitable to look after a herd of alpacas (she has never seen goats or sheep).
