WHF Cash

Bull (male)Imperial
IYAK - Foundation# 2C250DOB: 6/11/201511 yrs
This big guy always amazes us. He is a gentle giant. Cash loves his treats and is completely and utterly respectful to his cows, and especially to us. He is a wonder to watch and admire, his movements flowing, strong, and he is everything majestic that hooked us on this beautiful breed. He seems to instinctively know to give us space in the pasture when we are working. When with his ladies and his babies, he is a leader and a calm protector, and will be seen laying with his calves all around him giving the mommas a break. The way he follows and gives attention to each of the mommas is romantic as it looks as though he is courting each one so genuinely on late evening walks side by side. Exactly the temperament we want in a bull for our small farm and for breeding. Pedigree on Cash strongly resembles bulls in his lineage such as Dr. Lock, Dreadlock, Prince Allante and Blackberry/Diamond bloodlines. Cash was born in upstate New York at a farm that acquired it's starter herd of pedigreed animals from Montana. His horns are beautifully symmetrical with a slight bend back which is our preference. He has a flowing skirt and fiber that he is able to rub off easily in the spring by himself. Although he is easy going and will allow you a head scratch, he doesn't care for us to comb him. His hooves are slow growing and seem to self-trim as we have not had a need to trim. The black Imperial nose and curly top make him everyone's heartthrob.

OHY Lucille

Cow (female)Native Trim
IYAK - Foundation# 2E102DOB: 7/1/20178 yrs
Lucille (Lucy) is our "sweet and sour" girl. Personality galore! But you never know what you're gonna get. When she is sweet she comes for treats, is curious and sharp as a tack. When she's sour, she acts like she doesn't know you and will give you a side eye to leave her alone. She is momma to our peanut bull calf SCF Tripp, our third bull born at farm. He's the peanut because he was the last of the calf crop born in 2020 so it seems he is always smaller than the rest and very shy. Lucy's fiber is a show stopper! This little girl carries some beautiful down--and a lot of it considering she is not in the wooly category. Wooly Bully, T the Bull, Dreadlock, and Excaliber are just a few of the many impressive names on her pedigree.

Tugg was a sweet grand finale for our 2021 calving season! A strong, fluffy, Imperial Black bull calf with a smart and curious disposition. This friendly and social interactive guy has been training for trekking as he grows into a fiber-abundant yak and haltered steer for the farm.

Tugg is sociable, and has become a very petite version of a yak steer with a symmetrical, curved back horn set. He enjoys being groomed and petted and has dense, abundant, and easy-releasing fiber. Now at 4 he continues his legacy of excellence.

Momma Lucille is small in stature, but big on incredible fiber from a woolly pedigree on her sire's side.

This steer gets full Imperial black coloring and a respectful temperament from his sire, Cash.
