Details

Thank you Fiber Meadows Alpacas for Roni, the friendly llama guard. She will be helping to guard our females & crias. We love her big, expressive eyes & gentle care with our crias. She has calmed the girls down as she is the alpha female of the girls. Often she is seen scouting out the field & surrounding areas to make sure everyone is safe. Her gentle, assertive personality has a calming, peaceful affect.
Guard Llama Facts:
Llamas are extremely defensive against coyotes, sounding an alarm noise before chasing and kicking the invasive predator. Modern Farmer reports that llamas have even been known to kill coyotes.Feb 14, 2014
