      AKGA# 21Y572SFTX20DOB: 1/5/20215 yrs
Honey Dew is a very nice 75% doe by Magnum Steel, out of Baby Mel (Melisande). She is a vital star in our breed up program. Her 92% daughter, Casaba, joined the breeding pen this year and we are hoping for more daughters! Nice feet and udder, laid back and a keeper. She goes back five generations on our farm to Big Momma and Khaki!

      AKGA# DOB: 12/19/20196 yrs
Sire: SEV Magnum Steel Dam: MVH 531 Percentage: New Zealand Litter Size: Triplet Birth Date: 12/19/2019 Birth Weight: 8 lbs 90 Day Weight: 53 lbs Total ADG: 0.50 Performance Index: 1.18 Black Jack is a triplet out of a repeat cross between SEV Magnum Steel x MVH 531. He had a weaning weight of 47.9 pounds at 80 days and an ADG of 0.50 pounds per day. Due to his excellent growth, parasite immunity and temperament Black Jack was retained for further evaluation as a potential herd sire. As a 6 month old Black Jack was put in the breeding pen with three experienced does and successfully bred them all. His kids have all inherited his easy going attitude and are easy to work with.

      Pedigree

Another of our successes in our breed-up program. This goat comes as a seventh generation on our ranch and all of her maternal line were kept for many reasons! This illustrates the innate value of purebreds that come from breeding up--- they have been kept for their phenotype and not their pedigrees (although they do have nice pedigrees as well!).
