Winstead come to us from Dr. Laurie Acton of Tempo Passa. When I saw a photo of his dam, Solo, I thought those genetics might work well in our herd. Then looking at Solo's production and extended pedigree... done deal! Winstead will be used a lot this fall.
About Solo: Solo was born as a much anticipated IVF kid with a big pedigree. A daughter of SGCH des Ruhigestelle WinClimber 4*M FS94, Solo is a full sibling to both SGCH WinWalker ('17 Res Nat Champion and 4,600 lbs milk), and +*B Social Climber (sire of Ranea Social Issues, '19 National Champion). We also have Solo's litter brother, WinRuler, whose first daughter earned her GCH and scored FS91 at 3 yrs.
As expected, Solo matured slowly and steadily, continuously milking well as she grew. As a yearling, she averaged 11.5 lbs of milk for 532 days, for a 6120 record. Now 4 yrs old, she has over 13,000 lbs lifetime already. She is currently projected over 4500 lbs and tested 15 lbs on her last test in October. Two days later she scored FS93 EEEE! Solo hasn't been shown until this year, when she handily finished her GCH in two weekends. To top all that, she is confirmed bred to +*B Vineyard View Hops by first service natural AI!
Productive, correct and beautiful, and easy to milk with a sweet personality, Solo is the type of doe that would work in a show or production herd.
